Motion:
That the council reviews the status of the medieval enclosure (KD013-008001) with the ruined church (-008002), graveyard (-008003) and related monuments associated with St. Farnan in Downings North and the opportunity to prepare a conservation strategy for the site.
Report:
The Heritage Team will arrange to conduct a site visit to the enclosure, church and graveyard at Downings North and will subsequently consider how best a conservation management plan could be undertaken and resourced. An update will be provided to the Clane-Maynooth Municipal District members after a site visit has been undertaken.

"A report was received from the Planning Department informing the members that the Heritage Team will arrange to conduct a site visit to the enclosure, church and graveyard at Downings North and will subsequently consider how best a conservation management plan could be undertaken and resourced. An update will be provided to the Clane-Maynooth Municipal District members after a site visit has been undertaken.
Councillor McEvoy complimented the great work carried out over recent years to retain legacy and heritage buildings and how these works had been built upon over the last term. This enabled these buildings to stand for the next 100 years or more. He requested that this item remain on the Progress Report.
Resolved on the proposal of Councillor McEvoy, seconded by Councillor Farrelly and agreed by the members that this item remain on the Progress Report. The report was noted."
